Robert Lawson discovered his love of keyboards at age 7, composing at 13, and producing at 18. Since that time, he has engaged in a variety of projects, including several EPs, remixes/mash-ups, choral compositions, stage scoring, and many ongoing collaborations.

Additionally, he is also a classically trained vocalist, producing EPs "In Saga" and "iD" before joining the band.

History

The firmament began in Berkeley, CA as the brainchild of longtime friends Robert Lawson and Ryan Geldermann. Together they produced the debut album "Time Trave", collaborating with singer-songwriter Lindsay Vance. During their latest production "Deep Space", a reimagining of their debut album "Time Travel", Ryan departed the band due to creative differences.

The band's sound has become an eclectic mix of dirty electronica, synth rock, and pop. The latest single is "In The Air", featuring Bay Area producer Ion the Prize.
